Kodamas

Finally I did it.

I love Kodamas, those cute spirits of the wood. The way Studio Ghibli depicted them... aww...

For a long time I wanted to create some Kodamas myself and here is my version of them. Most of them I will try to sell on Etsy.

The Kodamas are made from slightly translucent polymer clay. The eyes and mouth I painted afterwards. They are all very small, the standing one barely one inch, the sitting ones smaller and the tiny one measures just 1 cm.
The bottles are 5cm (2 inches) high with the cork.

Since they are spirits of nature, I filled their little bottles with moss, which keeps them in place. In the nutshells the moss is fixed with glue, but the Kodamas can be lifted and put elsewhere...

Gotta LOVE Kodamas!
